Hawke’s Bay AssFociation The usual monthly meeting of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association was held in Napier last evening. Present:—Messrs. J. N Barrie (chairman), W. G Frame, L. J. Mackersey, F. Stubbs, C. H Critchley, J. Elder, T. H. Ringland. Leave of absence was granted to Mr C. V. Chamberlain. The secretary reported as follows: — Grants to soldiers and dependants: Dannevirke branch, 35 soldiers, £5O 8/11, 3 dependants, £lO 13/4, Hastings branch, 68 soldiers, £l3B 9/6, 2 dependants, £l2 8/-; Takapau branch, 19 soldiers, £4 12/6; Waipukurau branch, 7 soldiers, £4 0/4, 1 dependant, £6 6/-;. Wairoa branch, 12 soldiers, £l7 5/-; Woodville branch, 17 soldiers, £3 4/6; Napier branch, 40 soldiers, £92 8/8, 3 dependants, £5 10/-. Loans to soldiers: Dannevirke branch 1 soldier, £3; Hastings branch, 8 soldiers, £62 15/9; Waipukurau branch, 1 soldier, £4 14/8; Wairoa branch, 2 soldiers, £55; Napier branch, 7 soldiers, £59 12/6. Payments on account of other societies; Dannovirge branch, 5 soldiers, £23; Hastings branch, 3 soldiers, £l4 4/2; Woodville branch, 1 soldier, £1; Napier branch, 10 soldiers. £37 10/2.
