SOCIAL AND DANCE

Bay view Institute Function A most enjoyable social and dance was held in King George’s Hall, Bay View, by the Bay View Women’s Institute, and in spite of the wintry weather, there was quite a good attendance, including visitors from Pakarutahi, Eskdale and Wairoiti Valley. Music for dancing was played by Mr M. Hawkips, extras being given by Mrs Moran, Mr and Mrs Les. Staniland, and Mr Alan Duncan. During the evening au exciting game of musical circles proved great fun, the winners being Mr and Mrs Les Staniland. Mr W’ilson was a most efficient M.C. The hostesses on this occasion were Mesdames Sweeting and Ilemsley. and a dainty supper was served.
