INVENTION STOLEN?
Radio Experimenter Attacked (By Telegraph—l’resa Association.l AUCKLAND, June 80. Cries and groans were heard from the yard of the Takapuna bus depot late last night, and neighbours found Mr. Victor Penny, night attendant at the depot, in a state of collapse. He was removed to hospital. It appeared that he had been assaulted in some manner, but the motive ’■s unknown. When found, ho was mumbling, “The Papers—my papers,” and also something about a sawn-off shotgun. Air. Penny is a radio experiment!r, snd it is stated that he recently completed the invention of a device of some importance. The police are investigating.
