Park Island Committee MR. BEDFORD’S SERVICES Once again Mr A. E. Bedford hac bceu re-elected chairman of tho Park Island Joint Committee. There was a monthly meeting of the committee at tho Napier Public Hospital this morning, and compliments upon Mr Bedford’s service were passed by the members. Mr L. Stein, of Daniicvirkc, said that the chairman had been very good to the old people, and the speaker 'ould not. think of a better choice for the chairiuaiicliip during the current year. He preposed Mr Bedford’s nomination for re-election, and found a seconder in Mr J. Millar, also of Daunevirke, and the motion was affirmed by the remaining members of the committee. Mr Bedford acknowledged the compliment, and said that he was particularly interested in his work. “It gives me great pleasure to do what 1 can for the members of this committee,” he added, ‘‘and for these old men.”
