Mr. W. Bromley has been appointed a member of the Small Farms Board.
Mr. C. O. Morse, Mayor of Napier, is in Wellington attending a meeting of the executive of the Municipal Association, of which he is chairman.
Mr. J. W. A. Heenan has been appointed a member of the Town Planning Board in place of Mr. Malcolm Fraser (resigned).
Lord Carson’s condition, 'which showed a slight improvement on Wednesday night, is unchanged, reports a British Official Wireless message.
Mr. Harvey Ferrar, who has been secretary of the Wellington Stock Exchange for the past two years, has resigned his position to take up an executive position with an Australian firm. He will leave for Sydney at an early date.
Mr R. B. Hammond, Dominion Town Planner, is to visit Hastings on Wed nesday next to confer with the Hastings Borough Council in connection with the planning of the new civicsquare. Mr Hammond will arrive at midday and meet the council in the afternoon.
Mr G. W. Clinkard, Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, and general manager of the De partment of Tourists and Publicity, has been appointed Trade and Tourist Com missioner for New Zealand in Europe, with headquarters at Brussels. Mr Clinkard's present duties will be taken over by Mr L. J. Schmidt, at present New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Australia, who will be succeeded there by Mr W. Taylor, assistant accountant to the Treasury, Wellington.
