OTANE PLUNKET BALL

Highly Successful Function LARGE CROWD ARENDS There was a large attendance at the annual Plunket ball, which took place in the Otane Town Hall on Tuesday night. The hall looked attractive and inviting with its beautiful and artistic decorations of palms, ferns, foliage, berries and flowers, with streamers and many gaily-coloured balloons intermingled. The softly-shaded lights shining on the pretty and colourful dresses completed a charming picture. The floor was in excellent order, and this, together with the delightful music played by Gordon Redward’s orchestra, made dancing a pleasure. The floor was thronged with gay and happy dancers throughout the evening. Messrs Brian and Alan Williams carried out the duties of M.C.’a most efficiently. Much-appreciated supper extras were played by Miss Horner, Mrs A, B. Collins and Mr N. Mundell.
