SHEEPMEN’S MEETING

Massey College Programme

The programme of lectures and demonstrations be given at tho annual meeting of sheep-breeders at Palmerston North on May 29, 30 and 31 has been issued by Mussey College and should prove Very interesting. On the first day lectures are to be given on lucerne, subterranean clover, diet and disease in sheep, the use of beef cattle ou hill country, and the determination of strain and type in clover and ryeglass. On the second day there will be discussions on sterility and fertility in sheep, visits to the grass and clover plots at the Plant Research Station, and a lecture on conformation in sheep. The concluding day will be devoted to talks on fleece testing, and rotational grazing.

There was an excellent attendance of fanners at last year’s meeting and the committee responsible for the programme sincerely hopes that all those able to attend will not miss this opportunity of getting into touch with current opinions on a number of very important subjects.
