Wanganui Track Notes FINAL GALLOPS (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, May 14. Latest arrivals for the Wanganui meeting on Thursday include Royal Peak, Passion. Flower, Queen Nona, Kurapae, Trishna, Hunting Cat and Cotefield. The weather was tine for the final gallops this morning. Rust, with W. Rayner up, went seven furlongs in 1.29 4-5, moving well. Korokio and Trishna were companions over a mile, the former appearing to bo a shade better at 1.44 3-5, doing the first halfmile in 52secs. Capella Abbey and Tareha ran the last mile of 1) mile in 1.49, finishing together. Cawbeen did the half-mile in SOsece Lady Koreroa in Slsecs. and Royal Peak in 54secs. Dawn Princess easily beat a Spearhead mare in 52Jsecs. Hard Times was well clear of Caen at the end of six furlongs, doing the distance in I.IBJ. Midian, Passion Flower and Hunting Cat ran five furlongs in 1.5 2-5, after taking 15secs. for the first furlong, Midian doing it nicely. Cotsfield schooled over six fences, jumping well, then did a round on the flat. Serviceable work was done by Kurapae, Te Hai, British Columbia anil a number of other horses. BRISBANE MEETING Silver Ring Scratched (Received 14, 1.10 p.m.) BRISBANE, May 11. Silver Ring has been withdrawn from the Dooraben Newmarket Handicap in which he was to carry top-weight of 10.2. Silver Ring and Master Brierly have been withdrawn from the Doombcn Cup. The Queensland horse Brown Prince, with 9.5, heads the weights for the Brisbane Cup to be run on June 3.
