EMPIRE TRADE WEEK
Appeal to Shops and Buyers (Received 14, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 13. The British Empire League has written to six hundred newspapers through the United Kingdom drawing attention to the first simultaneous Empire trade week, beginning on May 20. The League is appealing to retailers and housewives to observe the range of home-produced and Empire fruits, dairy products, timbers and fabrics and to develop the Empire-buying habit.
