Napier Visit at Week-end The Hon. J. Bitchencr, Minister of Public Works, will visit Napier next week-end, according to advice received by the Hawke’s Bay County Council yesterday. He will arive on Friday night. On Saturday Mr Bitchener, at the invitation of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board, will make an inspection of the Tutaekuri river control works. The following day, in fulfilment of a promise he made some time ago, Mi Bitchener, with the members of the Hawke’s Bay County Council concerned, will make a tour of inspection of the Napier-Taihape road. He will travel rs far as Kurupaponga where the party will, it is understood, be met by mem bers of the Rangitikei County Coune’l, with whom the question of hav’ng the road declared a main highway will be discussed. It will bo remembered that the question of having the road declared a main highway has been the subject of d’»cussion with the Hon. E. A. Ransom on his two visits to Napier (luring the post year. Mr Ransom promised on eo'-h occasion to pass on the representations made to him. Mr Bitchener has advised Mr W. E. Barnard, M.P., that these re presentations have been noted and that the matter will be set dow* for review
