Miss Bariiieoat, Pctouc, who has been staying with her niece, Mrs. I) W. Hursthouse, Caroline road, Hastings, returned home to-day.
Mrs. Athol Williams, Pukehou, motored to Wellington, to bring back her daughter, Patricia, from Chilton St. Janies School. She returns homo at the beginning o£ the week.
• • • Several .girls from Chilton St. James School, Wellington, arrived in Hastings last evening to spend the holidays with their parents. These include Pam Davies. Nancy Mortimer-Jones and Peace Preston-Thomas.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Lane, the latter a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T, Horne. Wellington, and grand-daughter of Mrs. E. Curtis, senr., and Airs. W. Horne, Hastings, sailed by the Rnngitata from Wellington, yesterday on a trip to England. Mrs. du Fresne, of Wellington, is a guest of Mr. and Airs. L. P. Hansen, of Allerton street, Hastings.
