H.B. SWIMMER’S SUCCESS

Swimmers in Hawke’s Bay will be interested to hear of the success of W. Gray, formerly of Napier, in the Nelson Centro championships, held recently. Gray, in winning the 100, 220 and 880 yards championships, took (he Newman Cup for Hie fourth year in succession. His times over these respective distances were 61 1-5 secs., 2 min. 3<J secs., and 12 min. 20 1-5 secs., all creditable performances. It, is some four years since Gray left Napier, and when last here he was a pupil of the Technical School. He is the son of Mr Walter Gray, manager of the Mayfair Theatre, Napier
