Latest Treasury Returns ’British Official Wireless. (Received 14, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, March 13. With three weeks to run before the end of the financial year, the latest Treasury returns t>how that ordinary revenue up to March 9 amounted to £663,326,254. which is £21,727,865 more than last week’s figures. The estimate for the year is £706,520,000. At the corresponding date of lust year ordinary revenue totalled £676,908,092. Income tax collected last week amounted to £10,305,000, bringing the total to date to £212,883,000, compared with £211,532,000 at the corresponding date of last year. The Budget estimate for the whole year is £219,500,000. The total ordinary expenditure to March 9 is £664,255,639, as compared with £651,185,862 on March 10, 1934. The total estimate of ordinary expenditure for the current year is £715,769,000. The Exchequer will benefit to the extent of £1,250,000 from the estate of Mr. John Henry Scribban*, Birmingham, baker. He started life as a Laker’s boy and left £2,563,609, subject to generous bequests to his wife and relatives.
