Napier Executive Meeting ' The monthly meeting of the Napier executive committee of the Red Cross Society was held on Tuesday evening, when Air A. E. Bedford presided over a good attendance of members. Matters of tietail correspondence were dealt with. it was resolved to make a donation of £5 o - towards the Florence Nightingale -Memoual Scholarship, the allocation of New Zealand towards which had been assessed at £2OO. The matter of providing first-aid and home nursing classes in the intermediate school was further discussed, when it was lesolved that the Nursing Committee should approach the headmaster and the School Committee. lhe Depot Committee reported that since the previous meeting 25 eases had been dealt with, and 116 garments issued. Further, that while some parcels of clothing had been received further parcels of clothing, and especially of men’s shoes and boots, would be greatly appreciated. The nurse's report showed that the interest in the classes which had been commenced was being fully maintained, the treasurer reported that the final receipts Hom the Red Crofs Day amounted to £197 17 -. Appreciation was expressed of the assistance given by the nurses ot the Napier Hospital in ■ the street collection. lhe matter ot the Red Cross Ball was \ discussed, the fixing of a date being i left until the next meeting.
