TO-DAY’S RECIPE
BLACKBERRY AND APPLE JAM. Ingredients: 81bs. apples, 61bs. blackberries, lOjlbs. sugar. Method: Peel and core the apples and slice fairly finely. Place in the jam pan with the pulped blackberries and two pounds of the sugar. Bring this to the boil and add the rest of the sugar in two-pound lots bringing the fruit to the boil again in between each lot. Cook until a little of the jam placed in a saucer sets when cool.
