Hoolicr 2 and 1; Easterbrook defeated Stonhouse, 2 and 1; Kenyon defeated 11. Wilson, 3 and 2; R. Whiteonibe defeated Field, 5 and 3; Havers defeated Cawsey, 2 and 1; W. Martin defeated Alliss, 5 and 4; Lacey defeated E. Whitcombo at the 19th;. Robson defeated G. Brown, 2 and 1; Davies de feated Hill, 5 and 3; Mitchell defeated Burton, 3 and 1; J. Soagar defeated Perry, 2 and 1; Taggart defeated Denny, one up) Jarman defeated King. 6 and 5; Bradbeer defeated Ockcnden, one up.
The defeat of Alliss, holder, by tho unknown Midlander, was the outstanding surprise of the championship.
