Four Successive Possibles
W. N. MASEFIELD’S FEAT <Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Sept. 19. Extraordinary shooting, which is believed to constitute a world record, was achieved yesterday by Mr W. N. Masefield, the well-known Marlborough Rifleman. when practising with Mr. W. 11. We.-t at the Blenheim butts. Shooting at 360. 500 CUf) and ' yard ranges, seven shots at each. Mr Masefield scored n hull with each of his 28 shot’, thus achieving four successive possibles at tho varying ranges. Mr West dropped onlv one point at each range, so that between them the marksmen fired 56 shots and registered 52 bulls Mr Masefield leaves on Tuesday to take part in a series of rifle meetings in Sydney and Melbourne, including the centenary shoot.
