GOOD DRIVERS
Born, Not Made
An official of the British Institute of Industrial Psychology says the faster motor car driver is not necessarily the reckless one. “Good drivers are born, not made, v ’ he says. “Driving depends on inborn characteristics. “If a man’s reaction time is one and one-quarter seconds instead of threequarters of a second and he is doing 15 miles an hour, it will make a difference of lift. You cannot give a person a new nervous system and no amount of training will make a good driver out of a man who is handicapped by certain deficiencies such ns lack of resiliency in tho muscles controlling the eye or inability to judge distance.’’
