Expenditure Plan For £6400
VARIOUS IMPROVEMENTS
A schedule of miscellaneous borough works costing £6437 for labour and materials was presented at last evening’s meeting ot the Hastings Borough Council and adopted. The works have been approved by the Unemployment Board lor subsidy, and the total labour cost involved is £2250. The subsidy is granted for all the works with the exception of painting the Municipal Buildings, alterations to the Women’s Rest, and the construction of the clock tower. The subsidy is based on the ordinary No. 5 Scheme ration payable to the workers, provided full award rates aro paid where necessary and that at least 90 per cent, of the men are drawn from the Hastings Government Labour Bureau. The following are the details of all the items approved by the Unemployment Board:—
