Another Popular Evening

Another enjoyable evening’s entertainment was provided at the popular sixpenny old-time dance and flog “500” tourney held in the Trades Hall on Wednesday night, when there was again a very large attendance. Music was supplied by Mrs. Hearn’s Premier orchestra, supper extras being played by Mrs. Spiers. Mr. A. Stevens was a capable M.C. Two Monte Car.o dances were held, the first being won by Mrs. White and Mr. Hopcroft, and the second by Miss Barnes and Mr. Alexander. In the curd room competition was again very keen, two trains lying for the honours, these being as follows: Mesdames Judd and Field. Messrs. Machen and Ashford: and Mesdames Marshall, Bishop, Brown and NA bite. The consolation winners were Mesdames McMahon and Owen, and' Messrs Legge and Nesbit.
