Excellent Entries Received
ENCOURAGING SUPPORT
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions which have prevailed during the lust few days excellent entries have been received lor the various classes at fhe spring flower show which "ill be held under the auspices of the Hastings Horticultural Society in tho Assembly Hall to-morrow.
A tine measure of support has been accorded tho society by tho gardening circles of the various women's social organisations, and their exhibits, combined with tho excellent quality of the narcissus blooms, which always characterise this show, should make the exhibition one of merit.'
-Mr W. Greening, of Havelock North, is staging an exhibit outlining the various stages of the production of sugar from the plant stage to the finished article.
His Worship tho Mayor (Mr G. A. Maddison) and the Mayoress have intimated their intention nf being present, and at 9 p.m. will present tho trophies to the. successful competitors.
