LATE MR. G. F. ROACH

A resolution of sympathv to the relatives of the late Mr G. F. Roach, of Hastings, was passed at the meeting of the Taradale Town Board last night. In paying a tribute to his service to the community, Mr J. Williamson said Mr Roach had been most self-sacrific-ing for the welfare of those he had served, and with the many organisations with which he was connected, his influence had been far-reaehing in the district. While chairman of the H.B. Education Board he took a keen interest in the welfare of Taradale, and vias responsible for many forms of assistance being received.
