(By Telegraph-Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. An allegation that he gave a Chinese laundryman £5O in eash because the latter suggested that 'it might be stolen from him was made by a Chinese, school boy, aged 14, in the Police Court, when Stanley Horne, aged 44. was charged with stealing £5O belonging to Sung Fong,

The accused made a counter allegation that the boy gave him the money to buy opium, and that they were to divide the profits. He asserted that he remitted £5O to a Chinese in Sydney and that he expected the opium to arrive by the Monowai next trip. Ho pleaded not guilty to the theft charge and was committed for trial.
