NAPIER BRANCH MEETING

A very large number of members were present at the home of Mr. J. Rodgers for the monthly meeting of the Napier branch of the New Zealand DX Radio Association. The question of the shortwave branch was held over till next meeting.

A letter from headquarters regarding the advertising fund was read and it was decided to forward a donation.

The secretary was instructed to write a letter of thanks to Mrs, Rodgers for her action in donating two trophies to the branch.

Another example of the generosity of Mi. G. Husheer, managing director of the National Tobacco Co., was his action in donating a canister of tobacco to the branch. A letter is to be sent to Air. Husheer, expressing the branch’s appreciation of his action. The trophies donated by Airs. Rodgers are to be given thus: —The senior member verifying most countries by Alarch, 1935; the senior member first to verify either Africa or India before January, 1935.
