SUCCESSFUL HASTINGS EFFORT

The executive of the Girl Guides’ Association wish to convey their thanks to .Messrs Land and Heigliway, Hastings, tor the kind loan of their shop on Saturday; also to St. Andrew’s Church for the use of tables and forma and to Mr Muir for his assistance in transport. The executive also wish to take the opportunity of thanking all friends of the Guide movement who so generously sent in produce, flowers, cakes, sweets and other articles for sale at the shop. A very considerable sum of money was raised towards the expense of sending three guides to the jamboree in Australia in December, The following is the list of prizewinners Turkey, Miss Lettice Hunter; fowl, Mrs Cockerill; plum cake, Mr Wilson; sponge cake, Betty Frost; live bantam, C. Epplett.
