Masterton Club’s Action By Telegraph—Press Association. MASTERTON, August 20 In an endeavour to popularise its fixture the Masterton Racing Club has decided to increase its stakes by £685 to £1750 for the two-day meeting in October. it also decided to revert to the former system of two dividends, 75 and 25 per cent. The win-and-place system was characterised as suicidal to country clubs.
