DEATH DURING OPERATION

Mrs Lily Wells, a married "Oman, ol 119 Shakespeare road, Napier, died iu the Napier Public Hospital this morning during the progress ot an operation. The cause ot the col lapse »*• acute heart failure. Mrs Wells had been ill tor some time and had been in the hospital for treatment since July 29. She "as suffering from uu obstructive thyroid gland, which had the effect of obstructing her breathing, and to relieve this condition it was decided to operate. It was while the operation was being performer that Mrs Wells collapsed.
