Held for 25.000 Dolhre NASHVILLE, Tennessee, Aug. J 9. The kidnapping of the Rev. It. Askew on Thursday last was solved when tho young evangelist appeared at a police station, after being missing for several days. He said that he had been held by kidnappers, but was for some reason released, although he was not awara that any ransom had been paid.

Mrs Aimee Semple Macpherson haa received a letter demanding that she pay 25,000 dollars ransom in return for the Rev. R. Askew, saying that inasmuch as the young evangelist is a member of her sect, she should be responsible for him. Miss Macpherson gave the police the communication, but cho declined to reveal if she i ilended t • pay the ransom.
