CYCLISTS’ LIGHTS
A Wairarapa remit to compel cyclists to carry a rear light, was rejected at the motor conference at Napier yesterday. Mr R. W. Roydhouse (Wairarapa) moved to have the N.T.M.U. make representations in the proper quarter, so that electric generators on cycles might be made legal. If this were effected, he added, cyclists could be made to carry both front and rear lights. Mr A. S. Burgess (Wanganui) seconded the motion, which was fully discussed, but on the voices was lost.
