Russell, the Central Hawke » Bay Electric Power Board passed a vote of sympathy with the relatives of the lata Mr G. F. Roach, ot Hasp mgs, Mr Russell paying a tribute to Mr Roach's sterling qualities and to the excellent work he had done. The Central Hawke’s Hay Electric Power Board at its meeting held at Waipukuraii to-day. appointed Mr .1. A. Nash, M.P. (Palmerston North) as a eo-voting delegate of the board chairman (Mr A. C. Russell) at the annual conference of the Electric Power Boards and Lighting Authorities <i New Zealand to be held in Wellington commencing on September 10. The second snooker match this season between the Waipawa and Waipukurau clubs took place at Waipukurau on Thursday evening, the Waipawa club winning eight out of 1games.
