COMING EVENTS

An old-time dance will be held in the Favourite Hall this evening. A women’s institute dunce will bo held in tho Shorenden Hull on Tuesday next. A card evening will be held in the Havelock North Bowling Club’s pavilion to-morrow evening. The annual meeting of the Havelock North Bowling Club will be held in the club’s pavilion on Thursday next, at 7.30 p.m. Patrons are reminded of the dance to be held in the Aero Club house at Bridge Pa on Saturday evening, when Miss Jean Batten will bo the guest of the club. The Mahora School Committee will hold another of its fortnightly ”500” tournaments at dances at 7.15 to-mor-row evening. Walden’s orchestra will supply the music, and there will be the usual good prizes. Mr K. Starkey’s company of young artists, known as the Hastings Expression Circle, will render a programme consisting of items that will be brimful of interest and pleasure to youth and adult alike. Your presence will be appreciated and will also show your appreciation, as the proceeds will augment the S.S. funds. This will be held in the Salvation Army Citadel tomorrow (Friday) night at 7.45 o'clock.
