JULY RAINFALL
Reports from Country Following are the rainfall records for July from country sources:— Glencoe Station: There were 17 wet days during July, the maximum being on the 3rd, when 1.23 inches was recorded. Day by day records are as follow: July 2nd .2, 3rd 1.23, 4th .40, 7th .25, Bth .33 9th .1, 16th .75, 17th .11, 20th 22nd .5, 23rd .7, 24th .3, 25th .1, 27th .12, 28th .8, 29th .1, 30th .1; total 3.51. Total for year to end of July 23.45. Eskdale: 'Mr T. P. Clark reports that rain fell on eleven days during July, the figures for the month being as follow:— Julv 3rd 0.83 ins., 4th 0.44, 7th 0.11, Sth 0.16, 16th 0.59, .17th 0.02, 21st 0.02, 23rd 0.02, 27th 0.21, 28th 0.06, 29th 0.03; total 2.48 inches. This is only about half the average for July. The total rainfall for the seven months ended July 31 was 23.79 inches.
