SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
Preparations at Mt. Cook By Telegraph—Press Association. THE HERMITAGE, August 1. The Grand National Ski Championship is being held at Mt. Cook. Competitors ate all at Ball Hut. There u ideal weather and a sunny sky and the snow is in good condition though I slightly patchy in places on the Ball Pass. The past few days have been spent by the visitors in getting accustomed to ‘the conditions. The following is the programme:— Cross-country championship men and women; downhill novice race; downhill beginners’ race, men and women; rib bon race; novice slalom.- men and women; downhill championship; women’s downhill championship; handicap ski jump; slalom championship, men and women; consolation, men and women; relay race for teams of four, two mon and two women.
