MAORI CHOIR CONCERT
Assembly Hall, July 5 Musical critics from all parts of the province commented more than favourably on tho performance of the Wai-patu-Kohupatiki choir wheu they won the recent Easter competitions at Omaliu. Since then the choir lias been training assiduously, and on Thursday, July 5, the musical public of Hastings will be given the opportunity of hearing them at a giand concert, in tho Assemblly Hall. In addition to a programme of selected sacred items, they will present anthems, hymns, glees and choruses. The second half of the programme will be devoted to purely Maori items, imkas, pois, action songs, etc. In addition, Bishop Bennett "ill deliver an interesting lecturette on the early historical associations of Hawke’s Bay Remember the date and the place—July 5, at tho Assembly Hall,
