GIFTS TO HOSPITAL

Anonymous Benefactor British Official Wireless Service RUGBY, May 5. An anonymous benefactor of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, has made himself liable for gifts totalling £.105, 000, Already he has given £55,000 to the hospital and he has promised in addition to double every pound received from the public up to £50,000. The Duke of York, in announcing this offer, said that neither be nor his wife, who is president of the hospital, knows the name of the donor. The only person aware of his identity was the chairman of governors.
