RIFLE SHOOTING
CRAGGY RANGE CLUB LADIES’ MATCH. The Craggy Range Club held a very successful ladies’ day on Saturday with fifteen shots at 200 yards. The ladies drew as to who was to represent them. Mr. Maurice Field, shooting for Mrs. Wright, put up the remarkably fine performance of scoring the possible 75. The shooting was of a high standard, especially as 1922 ammunition was used. Fifteen shots is considered a severe test for rifle, ammunition and man. The president, Mr. Charles Gordon, in a happy speech, congratulated the winners, Mrs. Wright and R. M. Field first prize, and Miss Mabel Field and Ivan van Asch, second prize. During the afternoon Mrs. van Asch and the ladies supplied afternoon tea, which was much appreciated as the afternoon turned out very wintry. Following are the gores:—
