Unexpected Recovery A story of how an apparent theft went awry from the thief’s point, ol view is told by an employee in a Hastings business. A day or two ago the man was called to the telephone, and had occasion to lay down his glasses while he was speaking. -He then lei them while he went to deliver a message, and on returning he discovered that they had been stolen. This morning, however, the spectacles and their ease were returned to him by a Napier firm of opticians. Whoever had taken the spectacles had dropped them In a street in Napier, and they had been returned to the opticians whose name was on the case.
