Glorious conditions prevailed at Awa puni this morning for training operations in preparation fqr Wednesday’s fixture. Visitors to hand include Coronilla, Senior, High Grader, Royal Hunting Emotion, Kahunoke, Confer ence and Cotsfield. Treasure Hunt and Chief Marionette were partners over six furlongs on the plough, which was in splendid order, the pair finishing on terms in 1.19) Palm, on the course proper, with the flags 45 feet out, came home from the five-furlong post in 1.6, after being slow to move. Kahunoke was travelling better than Conference at the end of seven furlongs on the same track in 1.37, time which the former could have bettered. Riotous jumped the brush fences on the inside tracks. Easterly, Acervate and Thrasher were associated in a bout over five hurdles. The last-named, who is a novice, lost ground at each fence. Blacksmith negotiated three flights of hurdles alone, and Esteem and Huawai gave a good exhibition over five flights. ARGENTIC RE-HANDICAPPED Great Autumn Impost (By Telegraph Preet* Association.) Lord Woolavington, who is 85 years of age, has won the Derby twice and wants to win thrice. He insisted that Umidwar should be prepared for the Derby by his own trainer, Fred Darling, but the Aga Khan refused.
