CHURCH SERVICES
At St. Matthew’s Church, Hastings, there will be celebrations of the Holy Communion at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Mattins -will be at 11 a.m., and sermon byRev. C. Tanner, who will continue his Lent course. Holy Baptism will be at 3 ji.in. An evening service will be held at St. Barnabas’, Parkvale, by Mr. Arthur Stamp, and at Mahora by Mr. Tanner, at 7 p.m. The evening service at St. Matthew’s will be a continuation of the special services being held during Lent. Tao vicar will preach on ‘‘Worship and the First Commandment.” The celebration of the Lord's Supper will be observed at morning and evening services at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Market street, to-mor-row. Special collections for missions. Morning subject: ‘‘One God, one Mediator”; evening, ‘‘How Men Can Find God.” Rev. George Miller, minister. A talk on ‘‘Sitting on a Fence” is announced for the evening service tomorrow in the Hastings Methodist Church by the Rev. R. B. Gosnell. Miss J. Symons will render the solo ‘‘Father Eternal,” and the choir will render, by special request, the anthem ‘‘The Lost Chord.” The morning service is to be a special children’s service when the ‘‘Morning Star Brigade” prizes will be presented. There will be special items by the children’s choir. The hospital service will be held at 6 o’clock. Mr, Harry Isaacs will give a Gospel address in the Nelson Street Hall tomorrow evening, at 7 o’clock when the subject will be "The Shaking Earth.” A hearty welcome is extended to all. Mr. Young, of Napier, will be the speaker at tho Stortford Lodge Interdenominational Mission Hall on Sunday evening nt 7 p.m. His subject will be ‘‘Can we Trust our Bible: Is it a firm Foundation for our Faith?” All voting people are especially invited to attendThe address in the United Hall tomorrow night will be on the question, “Does it matter what we believe? or Are There Christians in Every Sect?.” All interested are invited and opportunity to ask questions will bo given. “Services for the people” will be held at the Baptist Church, Karamu road, to-morrow, and will be conducted by the new minister, Rev. C. ' P>. Boggjs. At 11 a.m. the subject of ■ the address will be “The Tilings which Cannot be Shaken?’ and at 7 p.m. the topic will be ‘‘Starters and Stayers.” The evening service will be followed bv the Lord’s Supper.
