In the course of a radio-telephone conversation with his brother (Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith) in Sydney, Mr Wilfrid Kingsford-Smith, who is at present in Wellington, ascertained that tne Southern Cross will leave Sydney on Thursday, January 11, and land at New Plymouth, where a tour of New Zealand will commence. Sir Charles probably will be accompanied in the Southern Cross by Mr J Percival, who was a passenger on last year’s trans-Tasman flight, as well as by Mr S. E. Neilson, of New Plymouth The Codock plane will be flown across the Tasman at the end of Janu ary and will land at Auckland in time to join Sir Charles in his tour of the South Island. DOMINION AIRWAYS By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. It was announced to-day by Mr Wil frid Kingsford-Smith that steady progress is being made in the formation of Dominion Airways, Ltd., and "that Mr Ernest Davis, of Auckland, has joined Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith upon the directorate of the company. Mr L. W. Swan, secretary of the Auckland Aero Club, has been appointed secretary to the company, while the position of auditor will be filled by Mr S. E. Neilson, of New Plymouth, secretary of the New Zealand Aero Club, Western Federated Aero Club and New Plymouth Aero Club. Mr Wilfrid Kingsford-Smith advises that the Dominion-wide air services of the company should be in active operation within four or five months of its formation
