The Railway Department Advertise in to-day’s issue particulars of cheap fares and train arrangements for the races at Waipukuran on Boxing Day. Patrons are reminded o* the euchre tournament in the Hastings Trades Hall to-night. Special Christmas prizes will be given., The offices of the Hawke’s Ray County Council will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays, from Friday, December £2. 1933 to Wednesday, January 3, 1931, both days inclusive The Herctaunga Swimming Club will present a carnival at the Maddison Baths to-night, when the first series of cup events will be staged. The han dicaps will be announced at the baths. The Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board office will be closed from December 23. 1933, to January 3, 1934, both days inclusive. Road Motor Services advertise particulars of Limetable operating between Napier and Hastings over the Christmas and New Year period. Attention is drawn to the fact that buses will leave McLean Park, Napier, for Hastings at 12.5 a m. (on December 31) and also from Hastings at the same time Arrangements have a'-> been made for buses to run direct from Napier to Hastin ’ Racecourse on New Year s Day and January 2.
