SCHOOL PICNIC
ASHLEY CLINTON PUPILS' FUNCTION. From Our Own Correspondent. The Ashley Clinton Women’s Institute organised a break-up picnic for the Ashley Clinton school children on Friday at “Ashcott” bush, kindly lent by Mrs A’Deane. A happy day was spent by all. Races and swimming were indulged in and the school prizes were presented by Mrs Dampney as follows:— Standard VII: John Thomsen. Rupert Collin. Standard VI: Kathleen Miles, (Proficiency). Standard V: Edgar Derry 1; progress, Ruth Dampney, Jack Miles, Joy Severinsen, Norah Severinsen. Standard IV: Warren Waldin 1; progress, Joan Miles. Jocelyn Cook, Keith Pedersen, Dudley Rosser, Donglas Young. Standard TIT: Robert Olsen 1; progress, Esther Pedersen, Mary Severinsen. John Collin. Standard IT: Iris Severinsen 1; progress, Ada Olsen. Hugh Smith, Rose Collin. Standard I: Keith Severinsen 1; progress, Melva Severinsen, June Smith, Gordon Young.
