ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

(Bjr Telegraph—Press Association.) Ernest Reginald Clark, aged 23, of Waimate, died suddenly at the Olympia Hall last night. He was engaged as a member of a dance orchestra, and collapsed about 10 o’clock during the progress of a ball at Waimate. It is understood that up to eight months ago Mr. Clark had been under treatment following an attack of rheumatic fever. John Davidson, aged 82, married, who was struck by a tram in Queen Street, Auckland, yesterday afternoon, died in hospital without regaining constiousness. P. E. Peek, tablet porter at Waikiwi, Southland, was found shot in the head at the rear of the station this morning. A gun was lying beside the body. He leaves a widow and three young children.
