HAWKE’S BAY BOARD'S MEETING STAFF CHANGES APPROVED. The monthly meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Education Board w-as held in Napier to-day. Present: Messrs G. A. Maddison (chairman), W. Cuthbertson, T. Rowe, R. C. Wright, W. Fraser, C. Lassen, B. Sainsbury, the Reve. R. B. Waugh and F. L. Frost The following changes in teaching staffs were approved:— Appointments: Mr A. S. Burns, head master, Fernhill; Miss K. Redmond, sole teacher, Maugatoro; Mr E. A. Hart, sole tea her, Pouawa; Mr B. J. Schischka, assistant, Woodville. Relieving appointment: Miss J. A. Kerr, relieving assistant, Waipawa. Resignation- received: Miss E. Steere, sole teacher, Clydebank; Mr V. B. Foxon, head teacher, Kopuawhara; Miss E. M. Mills, sole teacher, Tahunga; Miss C. Peters, assistant, Tipapakuku; Miss M. F. O’Connor, sole teacher, Wigan. It was decided to ask the Department for a grant towards the cost of erecting a porch estimated to cost £5O 15s on the western side of the engineering block at the Napier Intermediate .School. A request for un addition tv the bicycle shed at the Hastings Cmitial School was declined. It was decided to make a gra.it up to £25 towards the cost of laying out the grounds at the Napier Intermediate School. The Depart lent approved of the payment for buildings used for school purpuses at Pukchou and Craggy Range.
