MAYOR’S STREET APPEAL

MORE COLLECTORS WANTED. Thirty more collectors are required for the Mayor’s street appeal next Saturday. If you will help, please send your name in to the secretary, Mayor’s Central Committee, Borough Council Chambers. The appeal will commence at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and those collecting from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. are asked to report at the Borough Council Chambers not later than 7.40 a.m. All boxes will be issued in the Borough Council Chambers, and collectors arc asked to report ten minutes before the time they arc required at the corne r appointed them. Upon returning their boxes, each collector will be able to go through to the Assembly Hall, where tea will be served. Saturday is the day when all can help, and the committee is looking to the public for its support on this day. A further hundred pounds can be made, and even more, if everyone will give sixpence on their way to work, Do not forget Saturday.
