GREY LYNN TRAGEDY
DEATH OP MBS. CUNNINGHAM. SEARCH FOR WEAPON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 17. It is believed that little further evidence has been gleaned by the police to throw light on the Grey Lynn tragedy. Mrs. Christina Cunningham, who died in hospital shortly after she was found, had a fractured skull and the police have been searching for the instrument or weapon with which the injury was inflicted. Alfred Cunningham, her husband, said he left home soon after 10 in the morning. His wife was then doing her usual household work and he had helped by shaking the carpet a few minutes before he went off to the city. The condition of John Edwards is improving and he is expected to recover. [See pags 3 for earlier message.]
