PUKEORA SANATORIUM
GIFTS FROM BED CROSS The matron of the Pukeora Sanatorium reports as follows on Red Cross activities for the month of March, 1933:— Waipukurau Red Cross: Scones, gems, pikelets, sponge cakes, one case apples, daily and weekly papers, monthly papers and magazines. Waipnwa Red Cross: Cakes, sponge cakes, meringues, scones, pikelets, gems, tomato relish, jams honey, tinned fruit, fish, niarmite, leg of mutton, jelly cream, books, papers, etc. Hastings Red Cross: One case poaches (per Mrs Lowry), books, magazines, etc. Napier Red Cross. Two eases grapes. Private gifts: Mrs Tod, apples (cooking), “Australasian”, box apples; Anonymous,! “Punch” and “Sphere” Mrs Lowe, pears, tomatoes; Air Ormond, “Referee”; Hatuma Women's Institute Gardening Circle, flowers; Airs libbott. (Hastings), “Mirrors”, “Referees”; Mr .1. IV. Dickson, “Scottish Farmer”; Mr K. Mackenzie, box dahlias; Mr G. A. M. Lnlf (Fcilding), illustrated papers, etc.; Mrs Lowry, one case peaches; Anonymous (Hastings), two cases fruit.
