WAIKOAU DOG TRIALS
SUCCESSFUL MEETING. YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. The Waikoau Sheep Dog Trial Club’s annual trials were continued at Tutira vesterday, in splendid weather. There was again a largo attendance, and great interest was taken in the work of the competing dogs. Class 11. was concluded, and some of tho work was of a high standard. The result was as follows: CLASS IL, SHORT HEAD AND YARD J. Morley's Mae —8 7i, 4,4, 3J, 6, 9. 101, total 524 points .. .. 1 L. Lopdell’s Trix—B, 9,4, 2J, 4,6, BJ, 10, total 52 points .. .. 2 L. Lopdell’s Speed—7l, 8, IJ, 2,3, 6,8, 9, total 45 points .. .. 3 A. McNeill’s Jean—74, 7,3, 4,4, 6, C, 7, total 44} points . • •• 4 The dance held in the Kaiwaka Hall in the evening proved one of the most enjoyable the club has yet held. The attendance was large, the music excellent, while the supper arrangements could not have been improved Upon. The trials will finish to-day, when a foot and horse sports meeting will also be held.
