HASTINGS CHURCHES

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES. At St. Matthew’s Church, Hastings on Good Friday, there will be the first pa-t of the Holy Communion at 8 a.m., Mattina and Litany will be said at 10 a.m. in the Chapel, and there will also be a children’s service in tho hall at 10 a.m. The three houri’ service from 12 noon to 3 p.m. will be conducted by the vicar of Havelock North (tho Ven. Archdeacon Maclean). In the evening a special service will be held at 7.30. There will be no sermon, but in ite place the choir will sing J. H. Haunder’s Passion music, “Olivet to Calvary.” A special combined service ia to be held in the Hastings Methodist Church to-monow morning at 7.30, when representatives from the Pre.ibyterian, Methodist and Baptist Churches will take part.
