EASTER HOUDAYS • LIST OF ATTRACTIONS. SPORTS FIXTURES. The four days’ holiday during Easter is the last opportunity most people have of enjoying a complete change before the winter months set in. Most people will probably content themselves with one-day outings and in this respect Hawke’s Bay pffere many attractions in the way of beautiful inland resorts and ideal beaches. The numerous sports organisations have all been active and arranged fixtures for the holiday-makers. A comprehensive list of sports attractions has been prepared as follows for the benefit of our readers who will no- be leaving on an extended holiday a,, wish to map out a programme:— FRIDAY. Bowling.—East Coast Bowling Centre’s annual tournament on Hastinga and Havelock North greens commences. tennis.—H.B. Tennis Club’s annual tournament opens at Napier. SATURDAY. Boxing. — H.B. Boxing Association stages professional contest between Jxjh Knuckey and George Wright at the Hastings Drill Hall >n the evening. Bowling.—Second day’s play of tha East Coast Bowling Centre’s annual tournament. Cricket. — Senior: Hawke’s Bay v. South Auckland at Napier; Hastings v. Wellington at Wellington. Junior: Hawke’s Bay representatives versus a Napier senior eleven at Napier; Hastmgs v. Napier at Cornwall Park, Hastings. Rifle-shooting. — H.B. Rifle Aisocifr tion’s 25th annual shoot on the Colaman Range at Roy’s Hill. Hastings. Racing.—H.B. Jockey Club’s autumn meeting opens at Hastings. Rugby.—Tukapa (New Plymouth) r. Pirates (Napier) at Nelson Park, Napier. Golf.—Napier Club’s Easter tournament on Waiohiki links. Tennis.—H.B. Tennis Club’s annual tournament continued at Napier. MONDAY. Sports.—Havelock North Club’s annual sports meeting at Havelock North. Motor-racing. — H.B. Motor Cycln Club's sjrorts at the Napier Park Racecourse. Bowling.— Concluding day of the East Coast Bowling Centre's tournament. Tennis. —Third day of the H.B. Tennis Club's annual tournament at Napier. Cricket.— Senior: Hawke’s Bay v.
